UAMVCon 2010 Rules:
I. General provisions
The competition is held to popularize AMV on the territory of Ukraine, to develop and improve skills of video makers.
The competition is held from August till October 2010. Demonstration of works from finalists and award ceremony will be held in October 2010 in Kyiv, at the same time with OTOBE 2010 festival and under its aegis.
Competition entries shall be presented no later than September 23, 2010.
Number of participants is not limited.
Both separate persons and creative teams may apply.
Number of works from one participant shall not exceed two.
The competition will be held in three principal nominations:
* Best Senpai Video;
* National Heritage;
* Best Kohai Video;
and in two additional ones:
* Audience Choice Award;
* Japanese Judges Award;
and also:
* Action;
* Comedy;
* Romance;
* Dance;
* Horror;
* Teamwork;
...
— in case sufficient number of such works is sent.
Organizers reserve the right ot introducing additional nominations according to the results of submitted entries.
Additional nominations are also possible per decision of competition judges.
Big and small prizes as well as crafted certificates are envisaged for the winners.
Competition organizers reserve the right to dispose of received works at their own discretion while maintaining integrity of the presented work and indicating its author.
II. Video requirements
Works with duration no less than 45 seconds and no more than 7 minutes 24 seconds may be presented for the competition. They shall primarily consist of anime (hardsubs are prohibited). It is also allowed to use manga, official and fan arts, and Japanese video games.
The video shall be made during the period from May 01, 2010 till September 23, 2010. Participation in other AMV competitions is allowed in case no awards were won.
The video shall contain UAMVCon logo (full-screen or in the corner, in the beginning or in the end or somehow integrated in the video – to be decided by the author).
Logo shall be legible, and duration of its display shall be no less than two seconds.
Maximally allowed video size is 200 Mb.
The following codecs are preferable: DivX or h264/x264 for video, and mp3 or aac for audio. It is recommended to use AVI, MKV or MP4.
Attention! It is prohibited to use uncompressed video and audio streams! Videos that the judges will be unable to view will be automatically disqualified due to technical reasons.
When submitting a video, you will have to fill out a questionnaire for participant/video. We ask you to be responsible about it, as intentionally false or incomplete information may become a reason for disqualifying the video from participation.
